Acceptance Letters ... and Ulcers

So, if you know us at all, you know we're anxiously awaiting the arrival of our acceptance letters to the various schools that we applied to. Well, as I'm sure EVERYONE already read on Facebook this week, Paul was accepted to CSUCI (Channel Islands). This is very exciting for us because we were hoping that even if I get into UCSB and he doesn't, he could still go somewhere nearby. CSUCI is about an hour from UC Santa Barbara.

But, my goodness, I am about to go crazy from the time waiting around to see if we got into any other schools! CSUCI was an early-accepter! I am surprised he heard in February ... but as for the UCs? It could be as late as the end of April!

I, by nature, am a worrier. I am one of those people who stay up every night into the wee hours thinking about random things ... whether it is school, or how I'm going to tell someone something, or even if it's as silly and dumb as the thought, "I can't sleep. Oh no. What am I going to do? I'm going to be so sleepy tomorrow. I'm so worried I can't sleep that I can't sleep!" ... So the fact that we have to wait possibly another two months to hear about school (after we have already waited three) is driving me insane -- insane, I tell you!

While I'm waiting ... I guess I'll just keep procrastinating on homework, and writing blogs to fill my time ... how else am I supposed to avoid worrying?

*bites fingernails*

Sigh.

That's exciting he got into CSUCI (is that right? lol). And I am sure you will get accepted into Santa Barbara. They would be crazy not to! We are going to be sad though when you guys move. One less married couple to hang out with! But I guess it will give us an excuse to come visit you...hopefully in sunny Santa Barbara!

I understand on the worrying... but it at least you know that either way the letter comes back, it will work out! Have you/do you see a dr about your sleeping stuff, though? Ambien works for me!
